Chansi Coleman, La Fleur Chick, is a full time Agriscience Teacher in metro Atlanta. The history of her transition to event planning and floral decor' simply dates back to 2005 as a first year Agriscience teacher. Chansi eagerly awaited her schedule, but when she realized that she would be teaching floral design, she reached out to a retired Agriscience teacher and dusted off old VHS tapes. The curriculum allowed Chansi to teach students how to design boutonnieres, corsages, bud vases, bridal bouquets and ceremonial décor. This experience later transitioned to formal mock weddings and professional work in the community.
Raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, Chansi currently lives in Metro Atlanta with her spouse and energetic children. Chansi has been honored as the 2019 STAR Teacher, 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year and the 2014 Ideas Unlimited state winner from the National Association of Agricultural Education.
In her spare time, Chansi enjoys interior decorating, socializing and spending time with her family. While Chansi is a full time teacher, wife, and mother...she is sought after as "La Fleur Chick" for her creativity and ability to deliver quality work.
